Children’s Medical Center
The Children’s Medical Center was opened on March 16, 1968, at two physiotherapy and dental clinic units. The children’s health clinic was added to the center in May 1968, and in September of that year the children’s disease clinic, and an in-patient ward, were ready to provide services. Other sections of this hospital were officially opened in November of that year. Initially, the hospital began with sections of infectious, renal, blood, endocrine, surgical, emergency and specialized clinics, but gradually with the advancement of science and completion of the hospital’s scientific staff, sections such as gastrointestinal, immunology and allergy, heart, neonatal, rheumatology, neurology, neurosurgery, urology, orthopedics, and other sub-specialist and para-clinical wards were added.
The Children’s Medical Center has expanded over the years and various wards and different buildings have been added to the center over the years.
